Bangui (LNC) – Failures to fulfil children’s rights in Centrafric. This is the main conclusion of a new report published today.
For the second successive year, the Centre for the Defence of Children Rights (CPDE), sounds the alarm.
On past Saturday in Bangui, it released its last report on the situation of children in CAR. A document previously presented on June 18 to the HR Committee.
A report quite damning, exposing the vulnerability of centrafrican children, since the crisis of 2012: (10.000 conscripted into armed militias, malnutrition, parental violence, economic exploitation, lack of schooling, etc…).
In addition, the report reveals that at least 60% of the children have no birth certificate. A large number of schools had been damaged or looted. The International Convention on the Rights of the Child in CAR is fully ignored.
