BANGUI (LNC) – Dossier of military mutiny, file a little more complicated, or much simpler that seems!
Days ago, Touadera increased interest and suspense, alarming the public by evoking plans of military mutiny. But truth is, he did not complete his statement.
Things sorted out, when on Saturday, the Minister of National Defence, Joseph Yaketé, much as he wanted to, unveiled the truth in a subsequent statement aired on the National radio station. Within, of course, besides the fact that he strongly condemned these threats, he revealed too the main reason of all this mess. A part of the elements of the Centrafrican Armed forces (FACA) had been forced to retire by the joint staff.
What Faustin Touadera, simply had overshadowed.
Minister of Defence said that forced retirements of troops, around 1,000, has been a strong request of the international community, in the aim of the restructuring of the defence and security forces.
Just a crap, he lied!
‘Thruthly’ speaking, the fundamental reason explaining the anger of soldiers is kept in three claims: the upgrading of their salaries frozen for several years, the promotion in military ranks, and more than all, as usual in CAR, the pay back of all due.
No mutiny on the way, as politicians said to justify their incompetence, but just a corporatist claiming, and so far from plunging the country into a new crisis.
Simply, again, a common case of unpaid wages by the State.
