BANGUI (LNC) – Last Wednesday, the CAR Economy, Planning and International Cooperation Minister, Félix Moloua, unveiled his National finance-budget project for 2017 to parliamentarians.
ABudget Bill very modest, estimated F CFA 191 billion or € 290 million; yet, so far from stifling the enthusiasm of the minister saying about: “this plan is ambitious”.
Anyway, that is more a political waste of skin than a serious financial document, because it is vague in accounting terms, more based on faith and expectations than on concrete reality, particularly in the sector of Resources.
At the time Unesco expresses its increased concern about the $2.2 billion already pledged by donors in the Brussels’s roundtable to help rebuild CAR; as it fears their disengagements, with the security and humanitarian situation in the country remaining highly volatile, and even getting worse.
Members have until December 29 to detail, amend or modify the proposal if necessary.
