BANGUI (LNC) – State-owned radio could not air lasting several hours in the night of NOVEMBER 15, an opportunity for the PM to go there for venting his big anger.
Except that, Radio Centrafrique did not broadcast for a long time, not because of one technical issue, but due to one of usual unpleasant bothersome outages and blackouts of ENERCA – the national power company.
Matter faced by the Radio, its free-standing generator failed, because the fuel tank was empty at that time, and therefore was not able to supplement the power cut.
What the technical manager tried in vain to explain to the Premier.
Whatever, Mathieu Sarandji got in mind another grievance against this Radio, accused of spreading idle gossip, like, when stating that during the Caron students’ demonstration, there had been casualties, including both deaths and injuries. That was not true at all.
What urged Touadera from Brussels, the day before the opening of the conference of donors, to order SARANDJI for asking the headmaster of the CARON to clarify things by holding a press conference.
The headmaster did it quickly on the following day.
In fine, the PM broke brakes, and like in the Soviet era, told the astounded heads of the radio:
« Radio Centrafrique is the voice of Gov. So, if we want to establish the truth, that can be done only through the National Radio ».
