BANGUI (LNC) – According to a decree aired Thursday on the state radio, politician Emile Gros Raymond Nakombo was appointed as the new capital’s mayor. He takes over this task from Hyacinthe Wodobodé, as her fate was sealed, as soon as the new government took power.
Hyacinthe Wodobodé gave up this position she had held since 7 February 2014, and is now slapped for what some might say “her massive mismanagement of Bangui”, which turned into a veritable open-air dump.
With her firing, it is a chapter of the political transition which disappears.
THE NEW MAIRE IS NOT A JOHN DOE
Twice defeated presidential candidate, first in 2011, as representative of the André Kolingba’s «Rassemblement démocratique centrafricain (RDC) » – Centrafrican Democratic Movement – and now in 2016, as an independent candidate.
Emile Gros Raymond Nakombo who was born on December 3, 1956, in Berbérati (Mambéré-Kadéï); is a sociable, outgoing, and friendly gentleman, an experienced politician, and most of all he is very knowledgeable on the socio-economic situation of the country.
It is now his turn to put into practice the valuable principles of his already well roamed social program to serve the city he is going to rule: such program covering themes of need to ensure food self-sufficiency, a focus on access to clear water, access to improved roads and sanitation infrastructures; the availability of services ranging from electricity to education, health care and more.
