BANGUI (LNC) – The new Power in Bangui launches its kind of “Clean Hands Campaign” throughout the Centrafrican administration, and more specifically, is poking its nose into the assessment of Catherine Samba-Panza while ruling the country. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Touadera cleans the Augean stables.
According to a close member of the new PM Simplice Mathieu Sarandji: “It is a huge anthill we found in the ministry of Foreign Affairs. [..] We find out that several personalities were appointed diplomats in our diplomatic representations abroad without letting this ministry be informed about.”
Shortly before leaving Power, Catherine Samba-Panza had worked very hard to emit decrees called “mutes”, meaning ‘hidden’ not publicly promulgated; in order to provide jobs in Centrafrican embassies abroad to her former collaborators; who are what you want, except Diplomats.
The most incriminated “mute” decree written by Samba-Panza, is one of them issued on last February 22, carrying appointment of numerous personalities in diplomatic representations abroad.
FAUSTIN TOUADERA REPEALED THE SAMBA-PANZA’S ENTIRE ACTIONS
Following an internal audit report of the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Head of State issued on Friday, a new decree, repealing the Samba-Panza’s decree of February 22.
Accordingly, some of these new “diplomats” already in office abroad will have to return back in CAR, and others still present in Bangui will remain on-the-spot.
