LUANDA (LNC) — Angolan head of State José Eduardo dos Santos Wednesday congratulated the president elect of Central Africa Republic Faustin-ArchangeTouadéra on his recent election.
The information is contained in a press release from the Civil Affairs Office to the President of the Republic.
According to the source, Eduardo dos Santos considered that the victory in the election shows the trust the people placed on Faustin-Archange Touadéra to lead the process of consolidation of peace, stability and democracy in CAR.
In his message, the Angolan head of State expresses the wish to have the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries strengthened.
Faustin-Archange Touadéra, a former CAR prime minister, won the election run-off with 62,71% of the votes, against 37,29% of his main rival, Anicet-Georges Dologuele.
